Andy has been a part of The Filter Design Company since 2013 but has worked within the filtration industry for over 30 years. Andy manages the engineering team, as well as designing special purpose machinery for filter manufacturing and testing.
Andy has a wealth of interests, including motorbikes, steam trains (both the full-size and miniature varieties) and photography.
With over 20 years' experience in the management of manufacturing and production, and having worked across many different continents, Andy has extensive knowledge of technical business operations.
Andy is the newest member of the FDC team, and enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter.
Hannah joined the business in September 2019 following completion of her Marketing master’s degree. She deals with all things marketing, and splits her working time between The Filter Design Company and our associated respiratory protection brand, Corpro.
Hannah likes keeping fit - her favourite pastimes at the moment are rambling and yoga.
Starting her Technical Support role in 2018, Jemma assists with various technical tasks including testing filters in our lab and recording, monitoring and improving product and service quality.
Jemma is completing a HNC in Chemistry and spends most of her weekends either Morris dancing or with her two spaniels, Lou and Zac.
Having obtained a PhD in Chemistry, John has worked in the filter industry for over 30 years. He undertakes and manages various technical functions within the business, including filter testing and new product development.
John enjoys rugby and often referees matches at the weekends.
Kayla joined us as an apprentice as part of her Business Administration course in September 2019. She assists with a variety of administrative tasks, such as ensuring all paperwork is correct and up-to-date, arranging deliveries and collections and building relationships with customers and suppliers.
Kayla loves to get glammed-up and spend time with her family and friends in her hometown of St Helens.
Luke originally came to work with us during work experience for his Engineering degree, but following its completion he came to work for us full-time as an Engineer in 2015. He assists with all manner of engineering-related tasks, from developing filters and automation to maintaining our engineering processes in-house.
Luke is a keen hockey player, but is kept busy by his young daughter, Emily.
FDC founder and a skilled mechanical engineer, he has 40 years’ experience in the design and manufacture of filter systems and now heads up the engineering operations.
Phil is an avid Liverpool FC fan and loves visiting his favourite holiday destination, Fuerteventura.
Starting at The Filter Design Company six years ago as a Production Operative, Rachael has learned the ins-and-outs of the business before becoming our skilled Purchasing and Customer Service Manager. Rachael is the main contact for most customers and suppliers.
Rachael has a first-class Fashion degree and loves to spend time with her beloved French Bulldog, Belle.
After coming to work for us during his university placement, Rob began his full-time role as our Product Designer in 2018. His day-to-day consists of designing graphics and product concepts, 3D printing and prototyping, and he occasionally performs engineering activities.
In his spare time, Rob likes to fly RC planes and spend time with his fiancé, Sarah.
Sandra undertakes a breadth of engineering tasks as part of her day-to-day, including designing and building purpose machinery and filtration devices, and maintaining and improving current automated processes.
Sandra is originally from Tenerife and has a number of hobbies, including practicing aerial silks and sewing her own clothes.
