Since 2018, Core Protection Systems, also known as Corpro, have produced excellent respiratory protective equipment (RPE) for various markets, including the industrial and medical sectors. The Filter Design Company has played a large part in developing, launching and manufacturing Corpro’s products.
In 2016, our Managing Director Phil Scott and a business partner expressed a desire to develop a truly user-centric respiratory protection product. There appeared to be a gap in the market for genuinely high-quality, comfortable and highly protective tight-fitting respirators and filters, and Phil has a reputation for being an expert in the RPE industry.
Phil Scott and The Filter Design Company designed and developed a comprehensive range of extremely low pressure-drop, lightweight filters (the F1100 range) which can be worn with Corpro’s HM1400 half masks and FFM1600 full face masks. The range currently covers 9 filter variants, including particulate, vapour only and combination filters, which can be used to tackle the majority of airborne contaminants in all environments.
Once all products were initially tested and approved, The Filter Design Company became the manufacturing site for Corpro, and began testing and assembling all masks and manufacturing the filters from end-to-end. To improve efficiency and output, automation was designed and built in-house for the Corpro lines. We now have automatic labelling systems, test stations and robotic assembly.
Corpro products have been in extremely high demand during the COVID-19 outbreak, and the design of our filters, our manufacturing capabilities and our automated processes have all contributed to our quick turnarounds and have enabled users to feel highly protected during such uncertain times.
Feedback from medical professionals and organisations has been overwhelmingly positive.
